Description

Studio Ceylon and China are located in a separate building, opposite the philosophers’ garden. The interior is simple yet effective, in the area of 35m2 is a kitchen area is a dining table and a sitting area. Behind a screen are 2 single beds. The bathroom is of course separate. These two studios are exact mirrors with some differences in the interior. Termas da Azenha is a little village in Mid-Portugal, located in a beautiful valley about 12 km from the Atlantic Coast. It's originally a spa with healing waters with a history of a few hundred years. The natural spring is still operating and the buildings are mostly maintained. The complex is just outside the village Pedrogão do Pranto on the foot of some hills. It is partly situated in the valley of the river Pranto, which is a branch of the river Mondego which reaches the Atlantic Ocean at Figueira da Foz. The location on the border of two different ecosystems (rice fields abounding with water and afforested hills), gives this area a rich Flora and Fauna. There are over 300 bird species and a large variety foliage trees and fruit trees. But also many fish, river crayfish, shrimps, foxes, rabbits, hares and bats. This area is very suitable for hiking, cycling and horse riding. This location is very attractive to sun and sea lovers, because it is close to the sea and the sea side resort Figueira da Foz and the quiet beaches of Lavos and Leirosa. People who look for peace, nature and clean air are also in the right spot here. The healing water from the springs on the complex is an extra attraction. Portugal is a country with a lot of cultural attractions. The old university town of Coimbra is only 40km away. The digs of the old Roman Fort Cinimbriga are just 25km away and the famous pilgrimage place Fatima, the monastery of Batalha, the former hunting castle in Buçaco with its beautiful park and the health centres Curia and Luso of the Bel Epoque are less then an hour by car.
