This exclusive apartment is located in the northern part of the Czech Republic, on the border between the Giant Mountains and Jizera Mountains, in a quiet part of the mountain village of Horní Tric. The facility makes an excellent starting point for excursions, cycling and other sports. The nearby area, known as the "Bohemian Paradise", is literally a paradise due to its unsurpassed natural beauty and wonderful castles. The 2-story building where your apartment is located has recently been carefully restored (May 2008). It lies on a southern slope overlooking the peaks of the Giant Mountains and the valley of the Tric stream. Early birds are rewarded with bird warbles, deer on the [opposite] hillside and magpies in the willow trees. An evening stroll to the top of “Kamenec” hill (15 minutes) will be crowned with a beautiful sunset. At the apartment there is a common area of 5000 m2 with a playground for children (with climbing frame and sandbox), a field for ball games and a place for a campfire in the evening. Despite the tranquility of the village you are not isolated. There is a bus stop 200 meters away and 300 meters away there is the guesthouse of the owner where you can take your meals if you do not feel like cooking. After dinner it is fun to walk upstream along the creek. At the end of the path there is a sawmill where a wooden “devil” keeps the mill running. There is ample parking at the building. There is a room for storing ski equipment and bicycles. The latter is lockable. This ground-floor apartment is accessible via a common corridor. From your private lockable door you enter a hall with a cupboard, wardrobe and shoe rack (in the Czech Republic you are not to wear outdoor shoes indoors). In the large living room of 35 m2 with open kitchen there is a massive dining table with chairs, a sofa (the sofa bed can accommodate two persons), coffee table and cabinet with satellite TV. There is also a fixed telephone line so you have unlimited access to the Internet. The open kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher and refrigerator. There are two separate bedrooms, one furnished with a double bed, the other with two single beds. The bedrooms also have bedside tables. If necessary, 2 additional persons can sleep on an air mattress. The bathroom is equipped with two washbasins, a massage shower and a toilet. You also have an extra room with a sauna (infrared) and exercise bike. The apartment is heated by individually controlled electric wall heaters. Perfect for 6, up to 8 persons. This apartment makes an excellent starting point for exploring the Jizerou Mountains by bike or for mountain hikes along the peaks of the Giant Mountains. Enjoy interesting excursions among the scenery of the Bohemian Paradise with its ancient castles. Discover the caves of Bozkov and enjoy the views from one of the lookout towers in the vicinity, of which there are many. Half an hour from the apartment (on foot) you are at the picturesque mountain town of Vysoke nad Jizerou, where you will find all the necessary facilities for shopping, fine dining and sports like bowling and tennis plus the possibility to rent sports equipment and quads. By car or public transport you can visit towns in the Giant Mountains like Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Harrachov and Špindlerův Mlýn which has a summer toboggan run, chairlifts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and other sporting and cultural opportunities - all 10 to 35 km from the apartment. Ideas for a day trip: Bozkov, take a guided tour of the caves; Liberec, to Ještěd hill with its typical television "mast", which today houses a hotel overlooking the surrounding mountains and the capital region of Liberec. Liberec is also widely known for its "Babylon" subtropical swimming paradise and shopping and evening entertainment facilities. Lunch or dinner at the famous restaurant situated at the foot of the Ještěd is highly recommended. The same goes for a day trip to the capital city of Prague, a coffee break in the Bohemian Paradise and lunch in a medieval tavern in Dětěnice.

Energy consumption will be calculated at the end of the stay. From May to September, the first 150 KWh is included in the rental price while from October to April the first 700 KWh is included. For additional consumption the price is 0.10 € per KWh.

If you would like to rent the bar in the room, it is 4 € per person per day.

If you want to make use of the wine cellar, it is 4 € per person per day.

You will receive a 5% discount on ski passes for the ski lift at Snowhill.
